Elections for CNMI Board Officers and Committee Chairs will be held at our Intergroup’s Annual Meeting scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10th. Now is the time for qualified members to consider running for one of the important service positions listed below.
Your Nominating Committee has been working diligently tofind qualified candidates for these jobs, and a number of nominees are in place. The nomination and election process is open to all, however. Self nominations and nominations from the floor at the time of the election are welcome. Anyone wishing to be considered for one of these positions is encouraged to contact Nominating Committee Chair Carol S. for detailed job descriptions and qualifications. This information is also available on the CNMI Website.

Executive Board Positions
Executive Board Members serve for two years and may be elected to a second two-year term. Candidates for Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer must have six months of current abstinence, while candidates for the Delegate and Representative positions must have a year of current abstinence and one year of service beyond the group level with CNMI or elsewhere. An asterisk (*) indicates that a nominee is in place to fill a vacant position.
The following Executive Board positions are open for election to full two-year terms expiring in October 2028:
- *Chair: Leslie has served for the maximum 2 terms and this position is now open. The nominee is Carol S.
- *Secretary: Kathy has served the maximum 2 terms and this position is now open. The nominee is Annamaria L.
- *World Service Business Conference (WSBC) Delegate: The current incumbent is Deb B. who is eligible for another two-year term
- Regional Representative: Vivian has completed a two-year term and the nominee is Anna C-R.
These positions have one year left of a two-year term and will expire in October 2027;
- *Vice Chair: Carol S. served for one year but will now run for the open Chair position. The Vice Chair nominee will be Kathy M. who will complete one year of the term vacated by Carol.
- *Treasurer: This position has been open for one year. The nominee is Amy M.
Committee Chairs
Elections will also be held for CNMI Committee Chair positions. Committee Chairs serve for two years and may be elected to a second two-year term. Committee Chairs must have three months of current abstinence. An asterisk (*) indicates that a nominee is in place to fill a vacant position.
The following Committee Chair positions are open for election:
- *Archivist: This position has been vacant for several years. The nominee is Gil G.
- *Outreach Chair: This position has been vacant for several years. The current nominee is Candice.
- Public Information/Professional Outreach (PI/PO) Chair: This position is currently vacant. There is no current nominee.
- *Intergroup Rep Support: This position has been vacant. The nominee for this position is Regina.
- Newcomer Retention: This is a new committee. There is no nominee.
While all qualified members may run for any of these positions, we are in particular need of someone to come forward to serve as the Public Information/Professional Outreach and Newcomer Retention Chairs.
Special thanks are due to the trusted servants who are serving in these positions now, and to our other Board Members and Committee Chairs whose positions are not up for election this year. We express our gratitude to those who have diligently completed their two year terms and to those who are ineligible to run again due to term limits having completed four years of exemplary service to CNMI.
