Step Ten
Continued to toke personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

Perseverance
Letter from the Editor
Step Ten asks us to actively work our recovery. After the big housecleaning of Steps Four through Nine, this Step is how we stay "free" one day at a time. A quiet check-in, midday or before bed, helps us notice resentment, fear; self-loathing, pity, or a harsh word before they grow into a binge.
When we see our port, we admit it quickly, make amends if needed, and turn toward our program and HP instead of food. That small honesty is on act of perseverance, and it is also kindness.
We can look at the day as it actually happened. How did we speak at work? Were we curt or friendly at meeting? Were we patient with our spouse? Did we toke responsibility for our finances, or did we overspend and then hide it? These ordinary moments ore where we give ourselves a clean slate tonight so tomorrow con begin again lighter.
Dear fellow, let the principles we learn travel with you into every port of your day.
